On January 24, 2019, Vyacheslav Laschevsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGT Communications Group, First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the development of the information community, the media and mass communications, held a meeting of the working group for the preparation and holding of the National Rating of Communication Companies NR2K.

The meeting was attended by representatives of communications companies, the Russian Academy of Public Relations (RAOA), the Association of Consulting Companies in Public Relations (AKOS), the Russian Association for Public Relations (RASO), the Association of Directors of Communications and Corporate Media of Russia (AKMR).

“The NR2K rating is an important part of the communications market in our country. From the moment it appeared 6 years ago, the rating is based on the principles of openness and transparency, with maximum involvement of the communication companies themselves. Now market participants have a request to improve the methodology for compiling a rating and within the framework of the working group we are discussing possible changes, ”said Vyacheslav Laschevsky.

The meeting discussed the methodology and timing of the rating in 2018. The members of the working group agreed to maintain the deadlines for the preparation and conduct of the rating. The deadline for receiving documents from communication companies is the beginning of April.

The participants of the event considered a number of proposals for changing the rating methodology. In particular, it is planned to specify grades of professional awards.

There was also support for the proposal to abandon the calculation of the financial result of companies based on the number of front-office and the average revenue by market.

The decisions worked out and formulated by the working group will be proposed later for consideration and approval by the Supervisory Board of the rating.

For the first time, the ranking of NR2K was conducted in 2013, the number of participants was 27 companies. In the ranking by the end of 2017, 75 communication companies representing 14 regions of the country took part. At a ceremony at the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, company managers learned the final distribution of seats and received award diplomas.

The main objectives of the rating are to increase the openness and transparency of the communication services market, and to strengthen confidence between market participants. The NR2K rating is formed on the basis of the following parameters: business volume (company revenue per year), professional experience (client and personnel portfolio of companies), media activity (public activity of companies in the media).
